I made these biscuits for all of my canine clients this past holiday season and they were a big hit!  Frankly, I didn’t think the biscuits tasted too poor, either!  They’re super easy to make and the ingredients are all very inexpensive.

    Ingredients:

    4.5 cups whole wheat flour
½ cup nutritional yeast (sold in bulk or in the can at Whole Foods or health/ specialty stores)
    1 ½ tsp salt
    1 ½ tsp garlic powder

    Directions:

Mix dry ingredients. Add approximately 1 ½ cups water.  Knead into a pliable dough. Roll out to 1/8″ thickness. Cut into desired shapes. Bake for 10-15 minutes at 350°F. (Important: After turning off oven, leave biscuits in the oven overnight or for an 8-hour period so they become hard and crunchy.)  Keep tightly sealed in refrigerator to prevent spoilage.
